From Plant to Pot

by William O'Byrne, Bee-Master, CFL, Nat. Cert. Sc. (Apic), Nat. Dip. Sc. (Apic)

This was an excellent lecture, where WIllie covered all aspects of honey production. It started with the soil an environment and its impact on the nectar, and went through how the bees convert that to honey, and finally covered the beekeeper's part in extraction and bottling. It introduced a lot of new information  about how honey gets its flavour and other properties - a real eye-opener.

After the talk, the new beekeepers present who had taken the primary exam were presented with their certificates by Willie.
