Maximising Your Bees

By Gerry Ryan, CFL

Gerry Ryan is a past president of FIBKA and has many years experience in getting the most out of his bees, so his talk was very informative. he followed the bees from the first inspection right through to the following winter, explaining how to maximise honey production. Interestingly, he only uses swarm cells for his queens since that's what the bees have adjudged to be the best, rather than the rather awkward grafting that many other beekeepers use.
