Visit to Keith Pierce's apiary, June 2014

In June 2014 the Louth Beekeepers annual outing took us to Keith Pierce's apiary in Dublin. A picture perfect apiary and an excellent host. Keith instructed us on subjects as diverse as queen rearing using an incubator, marking queens, filling Apidea's, and catching a swarm.  We even got to see the swarm march up a board into a hive, including finding and marking the virgin queen! A brilliant day, here are some pictures.
