Dr Samuel Ramsey

On Wednesday, 16th October, we held an exceptional guest lecture by Dr. Samuel Ramsey, the person who first identified exactly what Varroa feed on in honeybees.

This was an opportunity to hear from someone who is probably the world authority on Varroa feeding habits and it definitely did not disappoint. Sammy  was both entertaining and informative, captivating the crowd with his wonderful speaking ability and fascinating us with the story of how he tracked down evidence for Varroa's modus operandi. If you missed this, you're probably disappointed, but you can catch much of the talk on YouTube.

His paper is available on the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences web site and his presentation is available on YouTube.
