From Super to Supermarket

By Paul Boyle, Honey Judge

Picture
Paul spoke on the production of quality honey from the point where the supers are harvested to when the honey is finally in a jar, ready for consumption. He covered all aspects of production - selection and uncapping of frames, extraction of the honey, filtration, settling and finally bottling, including selection of the jars. Being a honey judge, Paul is intimately familiar with all aspects of the process, including what is needed for first class prize-winning honey.
