Christmas Party 2017

We held our annual Christmas Party on Thursday 14th December, 2017 in Scoraíocht Lann Léire Hall, Barn Road, Dunleer. This was a great success and provided a very enjoyable evening for members to meet in an informal setting. There was a raffle with plenty of prizes, including an impressive hamper kindly donated by Noelle Douglas, with the proceedings donated to the Oesophagal Cancer Fund, a charity one of our members has been very involved with.

With the delicious food at the buffet, and the beekeeping movie, this was a fun night. Also we celebrated the first qualification in Ireland of a Honey Judge  in 26 years, where our own Paul Boyle was presented with an award by the President of Apimondia (and member of Louth Beekeepers), Philip McCabe (picture below).
