Louth Beekeepers Civic Award
On Monday evening, 12th December, some of the LBKA committee attended the civic awards ceremony of the Municipal District of Ardee in the courthouse in Ardee. We were delighted to be awarded a Civic Award for the association's work in educating beekeepers and the public about bees and biodiversity.
There were 12 awards in all, ranging from beekeepers and GAA folk to suicide-prevention and cancer support organisations, all worthwhile recipients.

The ceremony was simple - a few introductory words, then the Cathaoirleach had a short speech and then the certificates were presented.
Paul Boyle accepted the award on behalf of LBKA.
